Venue Set to Become One of Premier College Baseball Destinations

Multi-Year Construction Process to Bring Upgrades and Enhancements

Knoxville, TN - Lindsey Nelson Stadium, the home of the Tennessee Volunteers baseball team, is set to embark on a multi-year construction process that will transform it into one of the most premier college baseball venues in the country.

The project, which is expected to take several years to complete, will include a wide range of upgrades and enhancements. These include expanded seating, improved amenities, and state-of-the-art facilities for both players and fans.

"We are excited to announce this major investment in Lindsey Nelson Stadium," said Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White. "This project will provide our baseball program with the resources it needs to compete at the highest level and create an unforgettable experience for our fans."

The stadium's seating capacity will be expanded by approximately 2,000 seats, bringing the total capacity to over 10,000. The new seats will be located in a variety of locations, including an expanded outfield seating area.

Other enhancements to the stadium include:

  • Upgraded concourses and concessions
  • New locker rooms and weight rooms for players
  • State-of-the-art press box and broadcast facilities

The construction process is expected to begin in the spring of 2023 and be completed in time for the 2025 season.
